Condition/Notes : Very good. The front linen beige board is good with slight wear to edges and slight bumps to corners. The back board is similar. The red fine leather spine with 40mm overlaps is very good with very slight wear to top and tail corners. Gilt lettering and decoration. The boards are protected by a cellulose DJ. Blank paste-down and e/p with some light foxing. Frontisplate very good. Facing Title page good with full details and Waverley emblem. Because follows by Julia Cairns with Dedication verso. Contents (Chapters 1 to 25) verso list of Illustrations in colour and Photographic Supplement list. The pages are very good, clean and no damage. Binding quite tight and fully intact. Attractive red-inked top edge. Comprehensive Index follows to back e/p which has light foxing and dusting to edges. A very interesting volume detailing the state of the art 1950 post-war home improvement movement with many fascinating photographs. Ideal for anyone wishing to recreate the 1950's style.
