Condition/Notes : Used but good. No DJ. The front brown linen board is sunned but light wear to edges. Back board similar but less sunning. Spine is good with light wear top and tail. Gilt print. Front e/p blank but with handscript top quarter and pencil price in top rh corner. Verso list of the Fitzroy Edition Jules Verne novels Edited by I.O.Evans. Title page follows with foxing, verso publication/printing details. Contents follows. Introduction summarises the first part of Hector Servadac. Pages generally undamaged and clean but p34 and p62 have light creasing, p34 has mis-cut at lower edge, p49 has 5mm tear at lower edge and all pages have light sunning to border edges and some foxing in places. At the end is an Editorial Postscript by I.O.E. which is critical of the ending of this novel and discusses various theories and reasons. Binding quite tight and fully intact. An interesting Fitzroy edition of this novel but unfortunately missing DJ which is accounted for in the price.
