Condition/Notes : Good. No DJ. The red linen black ink illustrated board is in quite good condition with light wear to edges, bumps and light wear to corners, some small ink stains and light wear to face. The back board is similar with Longmans' emblem in black ink in centre. Spine is sunned with wear to top and tail, title and 3 in black ink and some light creasing vertically. There is slight cocking to the volume. Inside front board is blank with foxing as is facing e/p. Title page follows with full details; see the photos below. List of Longmans' Geo Series verso, Books I to V. Preface follows, then Contents and 4 pages of List of Illustrations (Figs 1 to 163). The pages are clean and undamaged with many interesting illustrations of the state of the World as at 1907 with particular reference to the British Empire. Pronunciation of Geographical Names follows the End and The Index runs from p529 to p562. The binding is quite tight, but with some slight straining at the end of some sections, and fully intact. A very interesting volume for the student or collector of geography or history.
