Condition/Notes : DJ : Good. The front purple DJ has very slight wear to corners having been protected by cellulose cover. Colour is vibrant. Front fold is good with very slight creasing to lower edge. Price marked bottom rh corner - 2s 6d net which has been covered with a price label marked 15/- net and this then crossed out with pencil and 5/- written in pencil at the side. Back DJ is good with slight creasing to edges, dust staining to lh edge - white background with list of Jules Verne novels by Arco Publications and price "each 12s 6d net" below. The back fold is blank white with Printed in Great Britain at bottom. Good with foxing in centre. The front dark brown linen board is very good. Back board also very good with some toning patches. Spine very good with bumping to tail, title, author and pub in gilt. Inside front board is blank off- white with "Re-read Aug. '87" in pencil top lh corner. Front e/p blank off-white with perpendicular crease mark 50mm in from the lh edge top to bottom corresponding to the edge of the DJ front fold. Pre-title follows, list of the Fitzroy Edition Jules Verne novels verso. Title follows with details, publisher's details verso. Pages clean and undamaged. Back e/p blank with similar crease to front e/p. Binding tight and fully intact. Cellulose cover to DJ. This is a rare edition.
