Condition/Notes : Good. Front faded pale red linen has wear to edges, bumps to corners and fraying to lower rh corner. Stains to face. Vertical line bands on face with H&S emblem in upper quarter. Back board similar but with browning to edges. Spine has wear to edges, browning to face with some bubbling, H&S embossed, black ink printing, wear to top and tail. Front paste-down blank white (re-bind) with pencil handscript top lh corner "Reread September 2001". Some brownish dye bleed-through band rh edge adjacent binding due gum of rebind. Blank e/p facing rebind. pp sub-title; verso list of the Works by H. Rider Haggard at that time (1917). Title page follows with MCMXVII lower centre below Publisher. Contents follow Chapters 1 to 17. Pages clean and undamaged except for toning to border edges. Back e/p and paste-down as front. Binding tight and fully intact. A nice edition of this rare volume.
