Dimensions : 154mm x 95mm x 20mm. 16mo, 551 light numbered pages followed by 16 numbered "A List of the World's Classics" Oxford University Press and "Index of Authors" dated October 1928. Further volumes are in preparation.
Condition/Notes : Quite good. The dark green linen board has wear to edges, bumped corners and marking to face. Back board similar with white stain to top lh corner. Spine has wear top and tail, edges, with gilt print and embossed design. Front paste-down has Malcolm Clark illustrated label attached, partly defaced dark blue booksellers label top lh corner "Alfred..........and Son Book........& Stationers........DLE". Front e/p facing blank, verso another Malcolm Clark label attached. Sub-title page follows, verso Publishing details. Title follows with full details and The World's Classics' emblem in black and white; verso Mohamed details and Printed in Great Britain. Contents follows Chapters I to CXIV. The pages are generally clean and undamaged. There is light pencil underlining of one line and side mark of paragraph on p87 with light lower corner folds. Binding is quite tight and fully intact.
