16mo, 191 light gloss, fully gilt edged, numbered pages. Frontispiece black and white photo of William Wordsworth from the Portrait by H.W. Pickersgill, R.A., in the National Portrait Gallery.
Condition/Notes : Quite good. The volume is bound in rough Persian with gilt lettered spine and embossed on the face with Kelso High School and emblem Doe or Die. The edges of the Persian are worn and the face has a greenish hue. The back is similar and the spine has wear head and tail and to the edges. Gilt is mostly good. Front paste-down is blank off-white with handscript in pencil Lex Welsh. Front e/p has handscript in ink detailing presentation of volume as 3rd prize in Class III B 1914-15. Kelso High School embossed on here also. Frontispiece follows with portrait of Wordsworth and tissue guard. Facing Title page with details and date MCMVI. Introduction follows and Contents. Pages clean and good except p191 which has some vertical creasing. 2 pages of advertising for Cassell's Handy Classics follows. Blank back e/p. Gilt to edges.
