Condition/Notes : Good. No DJ. The dark olive green linen front board is quite good with light wear to edges and corners, light marking face, black lettering. Back board similar with a 10mm white stain in the lower rh quarter. Spine has wear top and tail. Front paste-down blank off-white and facing e/p with pencil script top rh corner. Frontispiece with tipped-in colour plate of Ramondia Pyrenaica by Malby is detached but good. Title page with details and printing verso. Preface follows by author. Contents follow, Chapters I to XIV. List of Colour Plates follows nrs. 1 to 8. List of Illustrations follows nrs. 1 to 32 and Diagrams in Text nrs 1 to 8. Pages are good but with foxing spots throughout. Colour plates by Malby are very good. Black and white photographs very good. Comprehensive Index at the end. Back e/p with foxing bands. Binding quite tight/tight. Dusting to edges and with foxing spots. Overall, a very good classic vintage gardening volume.
