Condition/Notes : Quite good. No DJ. The red leatherette front board has light wear to edges, bumps to corners and light marking to face and a white mark to lh edge. Back board is similar. Spine has wear to edges with vertical creasing top to tail. Gilt lettering and wear top and tail. The boards are loose but held in place by the paste-down/end-papers. Front p/d and e/p is joint with grey coloured illustration of cooking items. Creasing and general wear/usage. Blank pp followed by full colour frontispiece "Keep the doctor away". Title page follows with full details; verso publishing, copyright and printing details. Contributors follows. Contents : Parts One to Five. List of Plates Colour (20) and Black and White (42) follows. Pages generally clean and good condition with some corner folds. Toning to the border edges. General usage but no "cooking" marks or stains. Binding quite tight. Plates good colour and condition. Large comprehensive Index. Back p/d and e/p as front. Red speckled edges with dusting.
