Dimensions : Frame : 414mm x 513mm x 19mm. Image : 277mm x 385mm. Weight : 2.400kg net.
Condition/Notes : Good. The print of the original watercolour painting is in good condition with no damage or marking. The image depicts the first Bush-Gorbachev summit on 2-3 December 1989 held at Marsaxlokk Bay. The original painting has been signed Ed. Galea Malta '89. Beneath this signature, to the right of the title and description, is the artist's full signature in pencil. The support is quality fine weave art paper and the texture gives a pleasing tone to the print. The print is displayed within a metallic frame with retaining screws to each corner and an MDF backing board secured by 58mm Kraft wedges. A 5mm separator has been fitted around the edges of the frame to prevent the print making contact with the glazing - this could be replaced with a mount if preferred. Framer's label attached at the upper edge and a label "Checked By 001" at the top lh corner. Hanging cord attached to the adjustable lugs incorporated in the frame. An interesting historical work by this well known and respected Maltese artist. Please view the images below :
