Condition/Notes : Good. The pastel on paper study of the Commandant is in good condition with good colour and retention. The drawing has been executed directly to the support and signed in red in the lower rh corner. The character of the subject has been captured effectively and a warmth is breaking through the rugged exterior. An interesting portrait study which may hold many secrets. The drawing is fixed to the dark brown mount and housed in a basic wooden frame which is in good sturdy condition with usage commensurate with its age; ideally suited to the style of the drawing. Glazing clear. The backing board is original, secured by old panel pins and covered with an old sheet of brown backing paper. There are tears around the edges but fully intact. Unfortunately no descriptive script except number 12014 in pencil. An interesting early 20th Century pastel portrait study.

Emergence Sci-Fi, pastel and graphite drawing on paper study of a craft emerging with helmet overlooking the scene. 

The drawing is in good condition with good colours and no damage.

There is an obscure signature in the lower rh corner in the window which appears to be R 8 or R E (view the images) and some obscure script in the lower lh corner below the black block to the right of the window (view the image below).

The study is displayed within a black mount which is in good condition. The black painted wooden frame with silver and red inner edge is in good sturdy condition with light scuffing to the edges; hardboard backing secured by points and sealed with framing tape. Framer's label attached to lower edge "The Frame Studio Waterlooville Hants" with address and phone number. Hanging cord attached. Non-reflective glazing. Professionally framed.

An interesting Sci-Fi study which will benefit from further research.

Portrait of an Eastern European Woman in profile, pastel on paper, signed lower lh corner Kokoshenski, c1920. Framed. 

The pastel profile study of an Eastern European young woman is in good condition with good colour and no losses. Traditionally presented against a bland complementary background. Signed in the lower lh corner in slightly obscured pastel script Kokoshenski. 

Below the signature is a partly obscured watermark in the paper support which ends in the capital letters ....INCRE which may be helpful in research.

The portrait is displayed directly below the glazing within an aged faded gilt wooden frame with machine carved decorative surround; scuffing and wear to the edges. Cardboard backing board secured by old rusty nails and sealed with gummed framing tape. No visible script or marking. 

An interesting and attractive work.
