Condition/Notes : Good. The etching is in good condition. The study depicts Brighton Beach with boats ashore and the Palace Pier in the distance. An historic etching. Signed M. Oliver Rae in pencil in the lh corner of the lower border and titled Brighton (The Beach) in pencil in the rh corner of the lower border. The signature M. Oliver Rae was the pseudonym used by the artist Mabel Oliver (Mabel Parker) on her etchings as opposed to Mabel Parker or monogram M.P. on her paintings. She is well-known for her architectural studies of Cambridge Colleges and English landscapes.
The etching is displayed within an ivory coloured mount, which is in good condition.
The period ebonized frame is in good condition; hardboard backing sealed with tape. Two labels attached.
Hanging cord attached.
An interesting historical study by this well-known artist benefitting from the signature and handwritten title.

Condition/Notes : Good/.Very good. The aquatint etching is in good/very good condition with good colour and no damage or marking. The etching is signed below the rh corner in pencil in the artist's usual manner. One in the series of Parisienne street scenes.
Displayed within complementary cream coloured mount and gilt inner mount with 15mm wide lower border for the artist's signature. The mounts are also in good condition.
Gilt antique finish glazed wooden frame; good condition with small scuff to mid-lower edge. Hardboard backing sealed with self-adhesive framing tape.
Two auction-house labels attached upper rh corner, 16953 in pencil, framer's stamp lower centre edge with printed details. Cord attached upper quarter.
Very well presented example of a work by this popular French artist.

St. Mary's Steps Church, Exeter, Devon, etching on paper titled and signed by the artist Wilfrid L. Vinson in the lower border.
The image depicts a narrow street outside the church and a horse and carriage waiting nearby. The title is written in pencil in the lh lower border and the artist has signed in his usual style in the lower rh corner. The etching is in good condition with no damage or foxing.
The work is displayed beneath a cream coloured textured lined mount which is in good condition; there are a few thunderfly remnants beneath the glazing which can be easily removed on opening the frame.
The original ebonized wooden frame is in good condition with light scuffing in places. Faux-leather faced cardboard backing is secured with spaced nails and hanging cord attached to lugs below upper edge. A brown Normill Trade Mark label serial nr. 2594 with Windmill logo, Mage in England, with script 2/11 in pencil to face, is attached to lower centre. Small dint and scratch to lower lh corner of backing board and light scuffing in places.
An interesting work by this well-known early 20thC etcher and pen and wash artist known to have lived in Norwood Green Southall and Enfield; member of the Society of Graphic Artists.
