Front p/d and e/p is joint with grey coloured illustration of cooking items. Creasing and general wear/usage. Blank pp followed by full colour frontispiece "Keep the doctor away". Title page follows with full details; verso publishing, copyright and printing details. Contributors follows. Contents : Parts One to Five. Condition/Notes : Fair (this particularly relates to the missing artists' self-portraits, otherwise the condition would be described as quite good). The front maroon half morocco board is in fair condition with wear to edges, corners and a water-stain in the centre over the gilt title. Back board is in better condition with general wear but no staining to face. Spine is in quite good condition with wear top and tail and to ribs; gilt title. Binding good and secure. Front e/p black with Ex Libris Eugene Byford Okarma label with emblem and number 187 in pencil attached upper centre. e/p black facing. Blank pp with small tear lower edge. Title page facing with full details - see images below.  Heavy duty pages good with toning to edges. Binding tight. General light usage. Gilt top edge, rough-cut fore-edge and lower edge. Excellent illustrations throughout. Despite the missing plates, the volume is still of great interest and value.
